At Good Pup Food Co, our mission is to provide the best fresh and local dog food delivery option available anywhere in the world.

We aim to achieve this through uplifting the local communities we service by only sourcing, hiring, producing, and delivering locally.

Our company’s vision is to elevate canine nutrition to such a level that 20+ year old dogs become normal, not exceptional. We know well crafted fresh foods are a key component to making this a reality.

Our growing team has had dogs all throughout their lives, and we are so impressed with the difference feeding fresh has made in all our dog’s lives.

We grew up believing kibble was the only option out there, and that feeding human foods was considered “spoiling” your dog, or even bad for them.

So much has changed since then.

Our story starts with Mac Miller — not the rapper, but a yellow labrador with gut health that seemed straight out of a horror film. From the moment he came home, kibble seemed to wreak havoc: gas (from both ends), diarrhea, bad breath, tartar buildup, even occasional vomiting. This wasn’t the superdog we expected from the pick of the litter of two champion AKC bloodlines — this was a pup in crisis.

So we did what any desperate dog parents would do — we started cooking. A little beef liver here, some sweet potato there. Mac’s gut began to chill out. His poops normalized. The farts — non-room-clearing, and eerily missing in most cases.

Friends & family noticed. We realized we were onto something bigger. And so we teamed up with vets and a Ph.D. in canine nutrition to perfect a recipe that was complete, balanced, and ready to replace kibble for good, both for Mac and so many great pups in the Reno/Tahoe area. 

The result? Mac is now thriving — fresh breath, shiny coat, no more gut drama, and enough energy, well,  to out-swim and out-run basically anybody. What started as a desperate experiment has turned into goodpup food — a mission-driven company dedicated to helping other dogs feel as good as Mr. Mac Miller. 

The feedback so far has been loud and clear: this works. Fresh foods matter.

Mac is now our CTO (Chief Tasting Officer), and he takes his job very seriously. We couldn’t be happier to share what changed his life with as many loving dog parents as possible.
